Lyzz Hern brings a polished, expressive flute performance to elegant events throughout Miami and South Florida. Conservatory-trained in piano and flute and an experienced multi-instrumentalist, she blends musicality with a refined visual presence.
Her performance background includes appearances with the orchestra of Charles Calello, the acclaimed arranger, conductor, and record producer whose distinguished career includes more than 100 Billboard-charting records, 38 Top 20 hits, and contributions to Grammy-nominated recordings. Today, she creates intentional live experiences for weddings, luxury hospitality, private celebrations, brand activations and destination events.

How far in advance should I reserve my date?+
I recommend reserving your date as early as possible, particularly for weekends and dates during Miami’s peak wedding season. Last-minute inquiries are always welcome and will be accommodated whenever availability allows.
How do I reserve my date?+
Reserving your date is a simple process:
- Select your preferred package and approve your personalized quote.
- Complete the BOOKING questionnaire.
- Review and sign your performance agreement.
- Submit the $200 non-refundable retainer.
- Pay the remaining balance according to the schedule outlined in your agreement.
Payment may be made securely by credit card through the private payment link provided or via Zelle, which is preferred.
Your date is officially reserved once the signed agreement and retainer have both been received.
Is the wedding rehearsal included in the Ceremony Package?+
Rehearsal attendance is not included in the Ceremony Package, as I prepare in advance using your finalized ceremony timeline, musical selections, and coordinator’s instructions.
If you would like me to attend your rehearsal, it may be added for $250 for up to one hour, subject to availability. Additional rehearsal time is available at $100 for every additional 30 minutes.
Travel fees may apply when the rehearsal and ceremony take place at different locations or outside my standard service area.
May I request a song that is not in your repertoire?+
Absolutely. Your Ceremony Package includes music for the agreed-upon portions of your ceremony, which may include guest arrival, the processional, bridal entrance, ceremonial moments, recessional, and guest departure, depending on your selected package.
You may request up to three special song selections for me to prepare specifically for your ceremony. This does not mean that only three songs will be performed. Additional music will be selected from my curated repertoire based on your ceremony timeline and preferences.
If a requested song is not already in my repertoire, I will first look for a suitable arrangement that meets my performance standards. If one is unavailable, I may be able to purchase professional sheet music or create a custom arrangement.
Please provide the song title, artist, and a listening link from YouTube, Spotify, or another platform so I can prepare the correct version.
Purchased sheet music and custom arrangements may require an additional fee. Any cost will always be discussed and approved in advance.
When are my ceremony timeline and musical selections due?+
Your finalized ceremony timeline and musical selections should be submitted at least 30 days before your wedding. This allows sufficient time to confirm musical cues, prepare your requested selections, and coordinate the necessary details with your planner or venue.
Requests or changes submitted after this deadline will be considered whenever possible but cannot be guaranteed.
Will you coordinate with my wedding planner or venue?+
Absolutely. I am happy to communicate with your wedding planner, coordinator, officiant, DJ, or venue representative to confirm musical cues, performance locations, arrival instructions, and any other details necessary for a seamless ceremony.
What happens if the ceremony runs late?+
I understand that wedding-day timelines can occasionally shift. If my schedule allows, additional performance time may be added at $100 for every additional 30 minutes.
Because I may have another engagement following yours, same-day overtime cannot be guaranteed. If you anticipate possible delays, I recommend reserving additional time in advance.
What will you need from the venue?+
I will arrive with my instrument and the performance equipment included in your selected package. Depending on the setting, the venue may need to provide:
- One armless chair at each performance location
- Access to a nearby electrical outlet when amplification is required
- A clean, level, and appropriately sized performance area
- Reasonable access for unloading, setup, and departure
Any special venue requirements will be discussed and confirmed before your event.
Do you provide amplification?+
When amplification is included in your selected package, I will provide the appropriate sound equipment for the agreed-upon performance setting.
Particularly large venues, complex sound requirements, or locations with an existing professional sound system may require coordination with the venue or its sound team. Any additional requirements will be discussed before booking.
Do you perform with backing tracks?+
Both formats are available: expressive solo flute for intimate moments, or flute with premium backing tracks for a fuller cocktail-hour or reception sound.
Do you perform at outdoor ceremonies?+
Yes, provided that a shaded, level, and weather-protected performance area is available.
Direct sunlight, rain, strong winds, humidity, and extreme temperatures can damage instruments and electronic equipment. An appropriate indoor backup location must therefore be available when unfavorable weather is possible.
Performance conditions must remain safe for me, my instrument, and my equipment.
What will you wear for my celebration?+
I will arrive in polished, event-appropriate attire that complements the elegance and formality of your celebration.
You are welcome to share your dress code or preferred color palette in advance, and I will coordinate my attire whenever reasonably possible.
Are travel fees included?+
Package pricing includes travel within a 50-mile driving distance of Miami, Florida.
Most events in Miami, Miami Beach, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, and nearby areas will ordinarily fall within the included service area. Events in West Palm Beach, Naples, the Florida Keys, or other destinations beyond the included distance may require an additional travel fee.
Depending on the event’s location and schedule, travel expenses may include:
- Mileage beyond the included service area
- Highway tolls
- Venue parking or mandatory valet service
- Overnight accommodations for distant or early-morning events
- Airfare and ground transportation for destination celebrations
If the rehearsal and wedding take place on different days or at separate venues, travel will be calculated for each date and location.
Every applicable travel expense will be clearly included in your personalized proposal and approved before booking.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?+
Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be clearly outlined in your performance agreement. The $200 booking retainer is non-refundable, as it secures your date and removes it from availability for other clients.
